GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. i LOST MY SMART PHONE AND NEEDED AN ALTERNATE ONE FOR SHORT TIME. MY FRIENDS RECOMMENDED ME THE MOTOROLA V600 WHICH PROVED THE BEST FOR ME.

No I wasn't really swayed by the fact that these phones were featured in the 'Bourne' films, although that's a pretty cool endorsement! The V600 is a pretty decent clamshell phone, it is well styled and of course you can change the colour if you want. The keypad is very positive, and the set-up of hot-keys is simple. I use mine on Orange and very few places where I can't get good voice calls, the texts still get through. The screen is clear but for someone with poor eyesight it may be a little small print because there's so much in it. One thing that many other makes do not have is a charger that will charge a spare battery while you are using the phone itself, a very handy feature indeed if you spend a lot of time actually talking. There are also high-capacity batteries now available which extend the talk-time a lot The camera is quite surprisingly clear considering it's a phone. No of course it's not portrait quality but for getting that 'moment' to send to your mates or post on the net to embarrass one of them, it's quite clear enough. I also have an older phone with an SD card which has far more capacity but oddly, not camera,.. go figure huh? Memory on the V600 will get eaten up by lots of texts and pics if you try to keep them all on the phone so I'd recommend getting the computer hooked up by an accessory lead or 'blue-tooth' and dump the ones you want to save on a hard drive or CD there. Dropping your phone in a puddle will lose all of them won't it,.. yes I do know someone who has done that,.. TWICE! The only downside is the crazy accessory connector, it would be so much easier if the micro USB was used instead because the strip of pins is way too delicate and too easy to fubar. There are 'blue-tooth' adapters for laptops and PCs thus it's almost redundant. Oh yeah, who designed the charger connector for this phone? Not one of their best moments, a Friday afternoon effort probably! Overall a very usable compact phone and possibly one that will stay around for a long time. Fits in a pocket or handbag without making random calls,.. and looks cool.Read full review
I love Motorola phones. The assured durability, the firmness of it's 'clunk' as it slams shut. I prefer the excellent key pad as it accomadates my large fingers, and of course the screen equally satisfies my failing eyesight!. The menu is very accessible and texting is simplicity itself. It's a shame that the company advertised it as brand new, when in fact its clearly a reconditioned model, were the fools and they will feign ignorance no doubt. However, still like my Motorolas.
